Since I will be traveling to Mauritius for the 1st Violence Against Women Conference, I had an appointment with a videographer to record my presentation

The 11th of October 2018, at the International Day of the Girl Child, a lunchtime conference was organized in Brussels entitled ‘Youth Engagement to end Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)’.

Five women, in four different countries and in three different time zones developed the online platform www.dewereldwijven.com about a year ago. In the mean time, it has grown into a network of more than 80 women, living and working in all corners of the world!he! I attended the ‘Wereldwijven’ symposium in Amsterdam.

The 2nd of October 2018, I was invited by the NGO PAX to attend a special screening of the movie Rafaël in Utrecht during the Dutch Film Festival. This movie is based on true events, and tells the incredible story of the Dutch girl Kimmy and her Tunisian boyfriend Nazir. Nazir wants to travel to the Netherlands at the beginning of the Arab Spring to be able to be present at the birth of his son, but he does not get a visa. Therefore, he decides to make the crossing to Europe illegally.

From the 11th until the 14th of September 2018, I was in London for a business trip. The main reason for my visit was the launch of a report on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C) and the law. A couple of weeks ago I received the invitation below from Thomson Reuters Foundation, 28TooMany and Latham & Watkins.
